Last night, I typed the two words all writers look forward to… THE END!
This book has been such an adventure, and it stretched me in ways I didn’t expect because—surprise!—it’s in a new-to-me genre. I’m not quite ready to reveal which one just yet, but let’s just say I’m having a blast stepping outside my usual lane.

Of course, finishing the draft is just one phase. Editing begins now, and you know how that goes… polishing, pruning, tweaking, and maybe eating too many snacks along the way.

And the timing couldn’t be better! Tomorrow I’m off to Writers on the Storm in The Woodlands to learn from one of my favorite authors. I can’t wait to soak up inspiration and bring it right back into this project.
