Below is a little blurb about my current work in progress. Code . . . Alas Ever since the kidnapping of her young son years ago, Maggie Palmer has lived in a bubble of protection. Hovered over by her husband, Graham, and two daughters, Marlina and Kimberly, Maggie has come to rely heavily on others to make her decisions. She has learned to be and do what others expect of her, even when it comes to her faith in God. Inside, however, Maggie has become fragile and her sanity is delicate. When Maggie learns that her husband has been killed while on assignment in Iraq, she realizes that she doesn’t know the person she has become. She begins to search for who she really is. Her search produces far more than she expected when she comes across messages that suggest that not everything is as it seems concerning Graham’s death. When Graham’s secret code word to her keeps popping up, she realizes she must find out the truth behind her husband’s death. She fearfully begins her journey, not knowing if she will like what she finds. In addition, not everyone around Maggie wishes her success in her journey. Misplaced trust puts her and her daughters in grave danger. Feelings of being watched, narrow escapes and brushes with death make Maggie distrustful of almost everyone around her. Maggie realizes that her life is at major crossroads where she must either learn to trust and face hard truths or retreat within herself forever. Will Maggie give in to the temptation to retreat or learn to draw on her inner strength?
